УМТOBJECTIVES OBJECTIVES FOR WORKING ON THE BORDER
It’s not easy to find work abroad, especially if you are looking for it while in another country. The desire to earn a lot in a short period of time pushes many Ukrainians to work abroad. High demand generates a lot of offers.
How to check the mediator in finding a job abroad so as not to become a hostage to someone else while being in a foreign country?
Among the many offers to earn abroad, you can face a deception.
In finding a job abroad, there are 7 markers that allow you to calculate illegal employers and not get caught in the hands of scam artists.
The first and easiest to check is the presence of a license from an intermediary who helps you to find a job abroad. A complete list of licensees can be found on the website of the Ministry of Social Policy, and the Department of Labor and Employment has created a licensing department for mediation in employment abroad.
In addition to the license, the intermediary firm must have a certificate of state registration and a constituent agreement with a foreign employer firm.
The second — in accordance with Clause 9.13 of the Cabinet of Ministers №1060 dated 16.12.2015, licensed intermediation companies for employment abroad can not take money forward. The payment of their mediation services should be made only after signing a contract with a foreign employer.
Advance payment request for consultation, transfer of documents to the employer, etc. is an indicator of possible dishonesty of the agency. If you are told: «You will pay 200 euros and you will go to Poland for a cool job» — most likely, it is a deception.
Thirdly — to work in another country, you only need to travel on a working visa and in no other way: tourist, cultural and other visas — clear signs of illegal employment.
Fourth — when you are looking for work abroad and give only general information about the company in which you will potentially work, — do not name the exact name of the company, the general phrases explain the scope of its activities and also describe your future responsibilities, — be sure of the planned deception
You have the right to know the full information about the future employer, the schedule of work, the amount of remuneration, conditions of travel and residence, the order of medical and social insurance — all the nuances of employment.
Fifth — fraudsters almost never ask anything about the professional skills of a potential candidate — they are taken by all who respond. It is logical if you do not need to hire people for work, but simply provide the largest possible number of people who will pay money for employment. They do not hire a job. The real employer will always ask what you know and what experience you have.
Sixth — do not sign documents blindly, carefully read your contract, which, by the way, should be translated into native language., Or better go to a lawyer’s consultation and he will help in interpreting the terms of the agreement offered by a foreign employer and the intermediary firm, will provide information about the rights of people who work abroad
Never put a signature on an empty sheet of paper, do not subjugate to the conclusion of a «double» employment contract (draft version with lower wages, etc.) and a contract containing the terms: «and other types of work», «everything types of work at the request of the employer «.
For illegal work promise to pay more than legal. Many people forget about caution and, tempted by high earnings, are trapped by scammers.
Seventh — In no case do not give the original passport to potential employers in any way! A copy of the passport is required at the time of execution of the documents, the original of the passport is personally shown to the border guards at the crossing of the border. There are no reasons to give the original to anybody and can not be. Please provide the original documents for safekeeping prior to arrival at the place of work or the wording «this is a prerequisite» should alert you.
When you arrive abroad, get registered with the Consulate at the Ukrainian Consulate. For this, it is worth contacting the institution personally. In case of violation of your rights, the consulate should assist you and provide protection.
If you have already been fooled, contact the nearest police station. You have full right to protection from local authorities, while in the country on a legal basis for a working visa
